Saint Benedict Cathedral School offers scouting year-round for boys aged 11-17. Boys who are 10 years of age may join if they have received the Arrow of Light Award or have finished the fifth grade. Boy scouting is a program of fun outdoor activities, peer group leadership opportunities, and personal exploration of career, hobby, and special interests, all designed to achieve the BSA’s objectives and strengthening character, personal fitness and good citizenship. One of the factors that make our troop at Saint Benedict Cathedral School stable and consistent is that fact that the current Scoutmaster Francis Brickey has served in that position for 30 years since 1988.
Any boy interested in becoming a scout, or any adult who might be interested in serving as an adult leader is encouraged to contact Francis Brickey at 812-306-4174 or brickey5@sbcglobal.net.
